INJURY
Neck Pain & Whiplash
The muscle pain gets treated. The structure underneath it does not.
Whiplash is the classic upper cervical injury — the atlas and axis take the brunt of rapid head movement.
In a rear-end collision the head moves before the body does, and the top two vertebrae absorb the difference. Massage and muscle work can ease what sits on top of that. They do not address the joint underneath.
Why it lingers
Soft tissue heals. A structural misalignment does not resolve on its own, and the muscles around it stay in a protective pattern for as long as the joint is displaced. That is why post-accident neck pain can persist for years after everything “should” have healed.
What care looks like here
We image before we adjust, because the correction depends entirely on the direction and degree of your particular misalignment. There is no standard adjustment in Blair — there cannot be.
Find out whether this is what you have.
A consultation is a conversation and an examination. We review your history, explain what Blair analysis involves, and image only if it is warranted. If we cannot help you, we will say so.
Book a consultationBlair Upper Cervical care addresses vertebral subluxation. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or condition. Individual patient results vary.
